A harborside wedding on embarkation day combines the romance of a wedding ceremony with the excitement of setting sail on a cruise (for those who are inclined to go on a cruise). Typically, this type of wedding takes place at the port where the ship is docked before departure. Non-sailing guests will be able to attend the ceremony and reception aboard one of the venues on the ship. Once the festivities conclude, non-sailing guests will be escorted off of the ship.
Estimated timeline:
10:00 am – Guests begin to arrive at the terminal (no later than 10:30am) to meet with the wedding team.
10:30 am – Check-in process begins for group: sailing guests go through a separate check-in process, where their luggage is checked in as well, and non-sailing guests go through a different process, where their IDs are checked in for visitor passes.
11:30 am – Group priority check-in for wedding party & guests is completed. Wedding couple would be escorted to their cabin room and guests would be escorted to ceremony venue.
12:30 pm – Ceremony begins
1:00 pm – Cocktail Reception begins (cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served)
2:30 pm – Cocktail reception ends. Non-sailing guests will be escorted off of the ship.
